I am now at NIST as one of the seven members of the Editorial Board for the Digital Library of Mathematical Functions (DLMF) and NIST Handbook of Mathematical Functions, the hardcopy vesion. I will be spending a considerable more amount of my time on research. My new telephone number is 301-975-4685 and the email is bis@nist.gov.
We are currently expanding the scope of the DLMF by adding new chapters and creating material for the semantic web that will allow the mathematical content of the DLMF to be accessible and useful to many more people.
National Strategic Computing Initiative
The National Institute of Standards and Technology has instituted a seminar seies designed to inform internal staff as to the various scientific and engineering disciplines that touch on this Presidential Exectutive Order. NIST has made the series open by invitation to interested parties. The Seminar Schedule will be updated periodically. Those wishing to attend needs a badge to get onto the NIST campus.
